A 4" x 5" notepad is a small portrait pad: 4 inches wide and 5 inches tall. It takes up little room on a desk, yet there's space for your logo, a few lines of notes and your phone number on every sheet. We print your design in full color, so each note someone writes keeps your name in front of them.

A small notepad earns its spot by staying out of the way. At 4" x 5", this one sits beside a keyboard, a phone or a register without crowding it, and slips into a drawer, a bag or a folder. The portrait shape suits lists and notes that run top to bottom.

4 x 5 Portrait or 5 x 4 Landscape?

We print this sheet size both ways:

• 4" x 5" (portrait, this page): taller than wide. Best for lists, stacked or square logos and notes that run down the page.
• 5″ × 4″ (landscape): wider than tall. Best for wide logos, script names and short forms.

Both start at 8 pads. Choose the shape that matches your logo, or ask our designer for a mock-up of each.

Small Notepad Designs

The photos on this page show three ways to use the size:

• Lawn care: the FreshCut Lawn Care pad puts a mower-and-grass logo and a large phone number at the top, Service Date and Next Visit lines in the middle, and a grass-and-sun border at the bottom.
• Small business: the Bluebird Studio pads use a small bird logo and a "Notes" heading over checkbox lines.
• Nonprofit: the Volunteer Services pad keeps it simple, with a logo at the top and the phone number and website at the bottom.

• Size: 4" wide × 5" tall (portrait).
• Printing: full-color front; the back can be printed too.
• Paper: 50 lb. white text, with 60 lb. and 70 lb. options.
• Backer: standard chipboard.
• Sheets: 25 or 50 to a pad.
• Quantity: 8 to 5,000 pads in the calculator.
• Turnaround: 8–10 business days after proof approval, or 5 business days with rush, plus shipping.

• Production Days: 8–10 business days, or 5 business days for rush.
• Page Count Per Pad: a 25-sheet or a thicker 50-sheet pad.
• Backside Printing: print the back of each sheet too; this requires 60 lb. stock or heavier.
• Paper Stock: 50 lb. Standard, 60 lb. Better, or the heaviest, 70 lb. Premium.
• Artwork Bleed: select it when your color should reach the trimmed edge; if not, the outer 1/8" stays white.

Options by Phone

By phone, we can add rounded corners, perforation, sequential numbers, a hole punch, a magnetic back, a printed chipboard backer or a landscape layout. These aren't in the calculator, so call 888-268-7237. Our pads are glued, not sticky; for notes that stick, see our custom sticky notepads.

2. Decide on standard 8–10 business day production or the 5-day rush.
3. Edit one of our ready-made 4″ × 5″ designs, upload your own artwork, or email your logo and let our designer handle it.
4. Check your emailed proof (within 1 business day); up to 3 rounds are free.
5. Approve it, and printing begins the following day.
