A 4" x 4" notepad is a small square pad with an even, balanced page. It's a little bigger than a standard sticky note, small enough to sit beside a keyboard or slide into a pocket, and square enough to show off a logo, a pattern or a grid.
The minimum is 12 pads and each pad holds 25 or 50 sheets. Design help and digital proofs are free, and there are no setup fees. This size is one of our 34 standard notepad sizes.

Why a Small Square?
A square page has no "top-heavy" feel: a logo can sit centered, in a corner or as a frame around the whole sheet. At 4" x 4", the pad stays compact but still holds a short message, a phone number or a quick sketch. It suits desks, reception counters, workbenches and gift bags, anywhere a larger pad would get in the way.
Square Grid and Graph Layouts
Because every sheet prints in full color from your artwork, a grid is just another design choice. Options include:
- Quad ruling: an even grid of small squares across the whole sheet.
- Dot grid: light dots for sketches, bullet lists and lettering.
- Logo plus grid: your logo across the top, with a grid area below.
- Estimate box: the Titan Roofing Co. pad prints "Free Roof Inspection", a phone number and Job Address and Estimate lines, with a thank-you message at the bottom.

Where 4" x 4" Fits in the Square Lineup
Think of our square pads as a ladder. The 3″ × 3″ mini square is for a word or two. The 4" x 4" adds enough room for a short list or a phone message under your logo. The 5″ × 5″ memo pad and the 6″ × 6″ large square step up again for longer notes and sketches. If you can't decide, ask for free samples and compare them on your desk.

What is square-ruled paper?
Square-ruled paper is printed with a grid of small, even squares instead of horizontal lines. It's also called graph, quad or quadrille paper, and it's handy for sketches, floor plans, tallies and handwriting that needs to line up.
Can a 4 x 4 pad be printed with graph or quad ruling?
Yes. A grid is simply part of your design, so we can print quad ruling, a dot grid or a small graph area under your logo in full color. Tell our designer the grid size you want. For larger grid pads, see our custom graph paper pads.
How big is a 4 x 4 notepad in centimeters?
About 10.2 × 10.2 cm (4 inches is 10.16 cm). That's a little larger than a standard 3″ × 3″ sticky note, which is about 7.6 cm square.
