Our 6" x 4" notepad is a horizontal pad: 6 inches across and 4 inches tall, glued along the long top edge. The wide sheet gives you room to work side to side, with a logo on one end and lines or form fields on the other. Every sheet carries your artwork in full color.

Why Choose a Horizontal Notepad?
Most notepads are portrait, so a horizontal sheet stands out. It also writes differently. A wide page gives a full line of text before you wrap, which suits phone messages, addresses and short instructions. It sits low and flat beside a keyboard or a register, and it fits on a crowded counter without blocking the view.
For a business, the extra width means the brand doesn't have to compete with the writing space. A logo, phone number and tagline can take the left third of the sheet while the rest stays open for notes.
Service Tickets and Work Order Pads
Service businesses are a natural fit. An HVAC company, a plumber or an appliance tech can print fields for the date, the technician's name and recommended repairs, then leave the sheet with the customer after the visit. That way the phone number stays in the house for the next call. A tire or auto shop can do the same with a short note about the next rotation or oil change.

6 x 4 vs. 4 x 6 vs. 5 x 4
These three are easy to mix up:
- 6" x 4" (this page): horizontal, the widest of our small landscape pads.
- 4″ × 6″: the identical sheet in portrait, for lists and tall layouts.
- 5″ × 4″: also landscape, one inch less wide.
- 5″ × 3″: lower and narrower, built around phone messages.
When the layout needs two columns, the 6" x 4" is usually the easiest place to fit them.
Horizontal Designs in the Photos
The product photos show three very different layouts:
- Floral notes: three Periwinkle Co. pads, each with a flower logo, a "Notes" label, ruled lines and periwinkle blossoms in the corner, on lavender, green and white header bands.
- HVAC service: the Blue Ridge HVAC pad puts a mountain logo, a phone number and "24/7 Service · Free Estimates" on the left, service fields on the right and a blue mountain band across the bottom.
- Tire shop: the Premium Tires pad keeps the logo in the top left and a website and phone number in the lower right, with an open sheet for notes.

6" x 4" Notepad Specifications
- Trim size: 6" × 4" (about 15.2 × 10.2 cm), horizontal.
- Color: CMYK full color across the face, and the reverse as well if you add it.
- Text weight: a bright white 50 lb. sheet unless you step up to 60 lb. or 70 lb.
- Back of the pad: standard chipboard.
- Pad depth: 25 sheets or 50 sheets.
- How many: as few as 18 and as many as 1,000 through the calculator.
- Schedule: 8–10 business days, or 5 on the rush tier, starting from your approved proof, with transit on top.

What is a horizontal notepad?
A horizontal notepad is wider than it is tall, so the glued edge runs along the long side and you write across a broad, short sheet. This 6″ × 4″ pad is horizontal: 6 inches across and 4 inches from top to bottom.
What types of notepads are there?

Should I order a 6 x 4 or a 4 x 6 notepad?
It depends on the layout, since the sheet is the same size turned the other way. Our 4″ × 6″ notepad is portrait, tall and narrow. This 6″ × 4″ pad is horizontal, so a logo can sit on the left with form fields on the right, or a wide header can run across the top.
How is a 6 x 4 pad different from a 5 x 4 landscape pad?
Both are horizontal, but the 6″ × 4″ gives you an extra inch of width on every sheet. The 5″ × 4″ landscape notepad is the more compact choice; pick the 6″ × 4″ when you need room for two columns or a longer line of text.
Can I print a service ticket or work order on a 6 x 4 pad?
Yes. The Blue Ridge HVAC design in the photos prints a logo, phone number and service tagline on the left, with Service Date, Technician and Notes / Recommended Solutions lines on the right. Tell our designer which fields you need and we'll lay them out for free.
Can the top sheet of each pad be different?
Yes. Turn on the top sheet option in the price calculator to give the first page of every pad a one-off message, for example a thank-you note, a welcome message or a coupon. The rest of the pad carries your standard design.
How big is a 6 x 4 notepad in centimeters?
Each sheet is 6″ wide and 4″ tall, or about 15.2 × 10.2 cm, and the pad is glued along the long top edge on a chipboard backer.
Do 6 x 4 notepads have a sticky strip?
No. A strip of padding glue along the top holds the sheets, and the backs are plain, so nothing clings to a surface. Adhesive options live under our custom sticky notepads or Post-it® Brand custom sticky notes.
How many 6 x 4 pads can I order?
